On this Independence Day, enjoy a series of music videos of 6 Sufi songs!

On Independence Day, Ultra Media & Entertainment Group will release “Sufi Rock Season I: An Ensemble Series of Melodious Music Videos of 6 Sufi Songs Compound & Sung with a Fusion of Rock Music”. Each video will be a unique blend of Sufi verses with moving, contemporary melodies using modern electronic equipment and techniques. The videos will be published at regular intervals on the YouTube channel “Ultra Bollywood” and on all major music streaming applications.

These video clips are an ode of devotion to divine Sufi chants. The first video will be released on August 13 on the Ultra Bollywood YouTube channel and later: Gaana, Spotify, JioSaavn, Amazon Music, iTunes, Wynk Music & other leading platforms

“Sufi Rock Season IIs a collection of beautifully crafted music videos by a team of young musicians and singers. The songs are beautifully written by lyricist S Faheem Ahmed and set to music by promising young composer and director of all videos Nitesh Tiwari.

Shot & Presented on the lines “Coca Studio», All these videos are very entertaining & melodic. It focuses on the historical, religious and spiritual elements of Sufi music, in its original sense. With lyrics and imagery inspired by traditional Sufi poets, these videos will replace original Sufi instruments such as Dhol, Tabla and Sitar with the traditional rock band format built around electric guitars, basses and drums. The video mixes Sufi and hard rock to create a composition that transcends genres

The songs in the clip are Karam Ho Karam / Ya Fasale / Marhaba / Mere Manpasand / Mere / Tanaha Raate / Qayamat Qayamat. They are sung by Harmaan Nazim, Naeem Ahmed, Lav Poddar, Faheem Ahmed & Nitesh Tiwari

The main essence of the group is Sufism. Their music is a mix of various rock genres, which they mixed with Indian Classical Ragas & Tunes. Sufi Rock is a subgenre of rock music that combines rock with the traditions of classical Islamic Sufi music. It appeared in the early 1990s in countries in Asia and the Middle East and was popularized by groups like Junoon, Fuzon and Mekaal Hasan & carried its popularity into the new millennium both locally and internationally. The term “Sufi rock” was invented in 1993 by the writer Nadeem F. This genre has been a mainstay in many Bollywood soundtracks

Nitesh Tiwari of Siliguri is an Indian director, music composer and writer best known for his critically acclaimed directorial debut Machaan. He has composed over 70 music albums and has been released in T-Series, Zee Music, Venus, Yellow & Red Music, Gaana, iTunes, Hungama and many other well-known platforms.

He also directed some parts of the film Ek Ashaa, (a Kinnar) which has received over 22 national and international awards.
